Fresh from the Oven

To satisfy Warshocks's fantasy of how the gooble gooble looks like once cook, so here it is, fresh from the oven....

We're supposed to spend the Thanksgiving day with Theresa & JP, and other friends (Stine, Bits etc.) in Bergen County, however, Tom & I decided to fill-in the house with a cooking aroma coming from the kitchen.

It was just a simple dinner for two. Main dish were the Turkey filled with stuffing plus Cranberry, 4lb King Crab Claw bought from Costco, mashed potato, my own version of rice ala kamatis and Apple Pie, some veggies, then red wine and punch.

After dinner, had movie marathon c/o The Red Box. By the way, the movie marathon would not be complete without popcorn and Chestnuts...

So, belated happy gooble gooble....

Happy Thanksgivin to all!!!

It's turkey time, and we're now busy in the kitchen prepping for our dinner tonight. We bought a medium size of Turkey at Wegman's and its now being thawed on the sink. Tom is my Chef today, and I'm with him to prepare the stuffing such as chopping or cutting the celery, onions, garlic, and mushroom.

I will complete my post later........ I just wanna say hi and happy Thanksgiving day to all of you, my blog friends, followers and chatters....

Thanks God it's Saturday!

Yes, thanks God it's Saturday! Thankful because I don't have to worry getting-up at 7 in the morning and hit the shower while I'm still half asleep. Winter is coming, so the weather last night dropped to 22F. When it's cold, I'd prefer to cuddle and hide underneath the blanket...

Had an eye appointment at 9:30AM, so we're up at 8. We went to Sears Optical and looked for frames. The Rayban looks okay, but Sears Optical doesn't carry the brand of glass that we want. We prefer crizal. Then from Sears we also looked for frames at Lens Crafters. I picked the Burberry frame. But then again, Lens Crafters doesn't carry Crizal Varilux Progressive Lenses. The eyeglass we're shopping is for Tom. I was just his "alalay (sidekick)" today. So the whole day was consumed looking for a "frame" and finally, we're left between the Burberry and Rayban frames.

By the way, here is my eyeglass. Bought it last July. It's Rayban, but I don't really care for the brand of the frame, as long as the glass is made of Crizal and yong bagay sa ilong kong pango, and one na hindi malalaglag (hahaha). Anyway, I have contacts to back me up. On your next eye glass purchase, be conscious of what kind of glass or lens your getting. Do not focus more on the frame. Without you knowing it, you might get a plastic or a lesser quality of glass/lens.

By the way, this is not a paid advertisement of Crizal. And since its Saturday, I'm free to blog and blog around. So, Thanks God it's Saturday!!!

How to set up wireless printer sharing?

I'm in the office right now and technically, I mess up the wireless setting of the PC (desktop) versus the laptop.

I already did my assignment of googling (searching on google) on how to set up wireless file and printer sharing, but what i found is for Windows XP. Okay, here's teh catch, my desktop PC uses Vista. This desktop (vista) is plugged to an HP printer, of which I know is capable for wireless setting (as it normally works before in our former office)... The laptop, of which I wanted to connect wirelessly to the printer is an XP.

So what should I do now? We don't have an IT here.... and I don't wanna waste time on the phone with our IT in the head office to settle this mess.

I hope, you guys can help me.

Thanks a lot...

Intruding Someone's Privacy

I took this picture while enjoying an afternoon walk at Rizal Beach in Sorsogon. In my home country, this scene is normal. This has been part of our daily life. We saw these dogs once in a while, whenever their biological needs arise. I don't want to invade their privacy, but I can't help it not to take a closer picture of the couple. I said "hi doggie, can I take a picture of you?" Of course, neither one of them say "yes, that's fine." As I get closer to them, the couple looked at my direction. The male dog seem not comfortable me standing in front of them. But the female dog looked proud of what their doing. That gesture, I presumed is a sign that capturing their moments together is okay. They want me to take picture! lol One shot, then am done, and gone. Leaving them the serenity and romance of that cozy afternoon beach along the shore of Rizal Beach in Sorsogon, Philippines.

Like human, animals have also their biological needs. That is also their way to procreate more cute little pups. This is their natural way of conception. I have no idea if doggie's can have assisted conception, or sort of In-Vitro fertilization.

To you buddy (dog couple), if your following my blog, this post is for you.

How babies, err puppies are made??? The photo above is the answer!

Thanks to Princess Sutil

Joroan, Tiwi, Albay, Philippines

Did you notice some changes in my blog settings and design? I wouldn't be able to do this without the help of Avee aka Princess Sutil. The word "help" doesn't really fit, because I didn't help her at all! I 'email' her the photo, told her to change the font and font size, and she took care of everything.

By the way, I took that photo during my last trip in the Philippines. Dear readers and intruders, please don't steal any of the photo's I posted otherwise...

Once again, thank you so much kapatid, till the next 'episode' of editing and revising...

BUSY DAY

What a toxic day!

Have to get-up at 6AM because Tom have to catch the train bound to NY as early as possible. Then have to report to work which is 27 miles away from my residence, via I-78. There is a shorter way to get to the office, but I want to avoid the heavy flow of traffic in Highway 22. (Employer 1)

I left the office at around 12:30PM for a job interview (Employer 2). I don't wanna be late, and I have to drive another 20 miles. The interview went smoothly. It was more of an orientation rather than a regular job interview. Luckily, I was accepted as a full time employee......I was only looking for a part time job. What will gonna happened now to the other job that I accepted last week?!! And my schooling too... I just wanna do something while waiting for the result of the bar exam, and while waiting for the clinical rotation (if, I wouldn't make it in the bar). You know, I need something to do in order to keep me busy... I hate counting the days, the ticking of the clock.... and the welcoming of 2009. Why? Because of "April" or "May". To cut the story short - I just accepted a full time job - for the first time, in my 2 years existence in the United States.

Going back to how busy I am today, well, at around 4PM I got a call from our medical doctor that my medical papers (medical requirements) are now ready for pick-up. So, I rushed to the medical center and picked-up my papers. I was on a hurry, I didn't even bother to check what's inside the packet, then drove to Employer 3 (another employer who just made a job offer a week ago), my navigator hang-up - have to reset it, and while doing so, I didn't even noticed that I'm hitting the red light and Oh My! I almost hit the school bus crossing the intersection . . . . Thanks God no surveillance, and no Police around...

To cut the story short, I handed over my medical packet to the HR and bingo, the X-ray report was missing! I called the Doctors office and asked them to fax a copy to the HR, otherwise, I would not be able to start on Monday. And here I am now, have to read and fill-up this thick employees file, and tomorrow have to undergo Drug test.

So that was it...

Help Needed - Domain Not Working

On November 6, 2008 I paid $10 for www.bicolnet.com through google blogger. Avee and Elba warned me already to get one from GoDaddy, but still I bought it through and/or within the settings of my blog - the blogger google (tigas kasi ng ulo eh). All the while I thought it would be easier for me to easily redirect my blog to the new domain as what google blogger promised.

Since Google Blogger Domain is powered by GoDaddy, I called customer service of GoDaddy for several times, but I was turned down. Telling me to contact Google/Blogger directly. GoDaddy Customer Service gave me the email add of Google Apps. What a disaster. I've been jumbling around calling this and that number, posting queries, sending emails... and all they'll give you is a link to set-up DNS, CNAME etc. I go gaga, despite the fact that they are supposed to set-up everything (configuration). I maybe wrong, but that's what I understood when I made the purchase !

As you can see, my blog is still under the free blogspot.com I tried publishing it through the settings of this blog, and still to no avail.

Any help from you guys, is highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Transition

Thanks to Avee for giving me this link http://freeskins.blogspot.com/, I was able to get a lay out with 3 columns. For a non-techie like me, I've gone crazy reading and understanding the instruction though for some of you here it’s not biggy at all.

Now that I have new lay-out, I lost some of the widgets (widgets? well, a blog lingo)... So, those who are already on my blog links, please bear with me as I am trying to upgrade my site. I will definitely add your links back. As you can see, I am still waiting for google, for my domain www.bicolnet.com operational.

Google said:

"Your blog is in transition

Your blog's new address is http://www.bicolnet.com/. Since it takes time for this new address to be available all over the Internet, you can still get to it at http://barex.blogspot.com.

Your new address should work for everyone after at most 3 days. At that time we will redirect your readers from your old address to the new one."

Today is the 3rd day, so I believe, it will be up on the 4th day onward.

www.BicolNet.com

I just bought a domain and I registered www.BicolNet.com

You may wonder why Bicol? Or, maybe some of you didn't know what BICOL means? Bicol Region or the Region V is one of the 17 regions in the Philippines. It occupies the Bicol Peninsula at the South Eastern part of Luzon island. Bicol Region is composed of six provinces, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon.

Albay is my home province, and we're known for the majestic, perfect cone, and active Mayon Volcano I picked BicolNet, simply because I am a pure breed Bikolana...

To my regular co-bloggers, please don't get confused if soon you'll be redirected from http://barex.blogspot.com to www.bicolnet.com

Keep blogging...

Unlimited Earning - Fun & Earn while BLOGGING

A year ago, a friend introduced me how to earn some $$$ out from blogging. Since I don't have the passion in writing and the patience in reading and learning all the mechanics involve in creating my own web or blog page so I just ended up opening a blog and wasn't able to update and maintain it.

Her name is Avee. She now runs several blogs online and she's now earning a thousand $$$ out from writing. And another online friend ('coz we haven't met in person yet) encouraged me to sign-up in Pay Per Post to make use, or shall I say to convert the time I spent online into a $$$.

I'm not sure if my PPP application has been approved, but since I can now get these Codes so i guess I am already approved!!!

So now, I am inviting everyone, a newbie like me, to explore the world of unlimited income... Let's make use of our internet connection and join the fun of blogging.

Ohio voted Obama

I've been following up the progress of today's election, and tonight, Ohio will mark Obama's win as the next President of the United States.

As Obama lead McCain by 7 points, Ohio was considered a must win for McCain. However, it seems like the latter is on the losing end.

A new President will be named before midnight...

Make History Tomorrow

My Friend,

From the time I entered the Naval Academy at age seventeen I have been privileged and honored to serve my country.

Vote Throughout my years of service, I've been faced with challenges where I could have taken the easy way out and given up. But I'm an American and I never give up. Instead, I choose to show courage and stand up and fight for the country I love. Today, I am asking you to stand with me and to fight for our country's future.

Our country faces enormous challenges and our next president must be ready to lead on day one. My lifetime of experience has prepared me to lead our great nation. I'm prepared to bring solutions to our economic challenges, bring our troops home in victory and improve our nation's healthcare system.

Time and time again, my country has saved my life and I owe her more than she has ever owed me. I have chosen to show my gratitude through a life of service to our country and tomorrow, you will have a choice before you.

I humbly ask you to make the choice that will allow me to serve my country a little while longer by casting your vote to elect me as your next President of the United States.

Finally, I ask that you never forget that much has been sacrificed to protect our right to vote. We must never forget those Americans who, with their courage, with their sacrifice, and with their lives, have protected our freedom. It is my great hope that you will exercise your right to vote as an American tomorrow.

I thank you for your kind support, your dedication to our cause, and most importantly I thank you for your vote.

With sincere appreciation,

John McCain

Deal

2 years ago, a US Consul asked me "Catholic?" and I said "yes" and a follow-up question "by act or just by the name?" - bingo! I refused to answer . . . I just smiled back at him.

a month ago, i made a deal, some sort of personal discipline - that I am going to comply my Sunday obligation to Him. Why? Tons of 'because' but I don't wanna elaborate things. He knows what it is, even if I don't say a word. Prayer mode? it's more of a personal approach... not patterned to the lengthy prayer found in any booklet.

it's Sunday, got to go now... and pray for World Peace and Economic Stability ... (kuno)

A Woman's Punishment

A man died and was taken to his place of eternal torment by the devil.

As he passed sulphurous pits and shrieking sinners, he saw a man he recognized as a lawyer snuggling up to a beautiful woman.

'That's unfair!' he cried. 'I have to roast for all eternity, and that lawyer gets to spend it with a beautiful woman.'

'Shut up,' barked the devil, jabbing the man with his pitchfork.

'Who are you to question that woman's punishment?'
